In-Consciousness (Panpsychic Dream) is a visual meditation on consciousness as the foundational substance of reality. Inspired by philosophical idealism, panpsychism, and Donald Hoffman's theory of conscious agents, the work suggests that space, time, and matter are not fundamental, but emerge from consciousness itself.

A vast black sphere appears, suspended in a field of infinite white light. The sphere represents physical reality: bounded, dense, and illusory. It is not apart from consciousness but arises within it. Its inner surface is dotted with tiny openings, through which the white light of consciousness shines inward. Each aperture appears discrete, yet all are expressions of the same continuous field. The video shifts between perspectives—outside the sphere, inside it, and along its surface—to explore how separateness is a matter of vantage, not essence.

The visual polarity of black and white suggests opposites: void and light, form and emptiness. Here they operate as a single ontological condition. Without the structure of the sphere, consciousness would remain unbroken but unreflective. Form allows perception. As in quantum physics, the act of observation gives rise to the observed. The sphere becomes both a metaphor for matter and a likeness of the atom, the cell, the cosmos; repeating across scale in a kind of ontological fractal, where consciousness encounters itself through pattern and emergence.

The soundscape features a constant 963 Hz tone, known as “The God Frequency” and associated with unity and spiritual connection, layered with a 1951 recording of Brahma’s Hymn from the Brahma Samhita, chanted in Sanskrit by Dr. S.R. Ranganathan. The hymn speaks to a cosmology in which all things arise from and return to Brahman, the singular field of consciousness that underlies reality.

This work is an expression of the artist’s poetic expression of the idea that behind all appearances, all vantage points, and all seeming division, there is only “the one” experiencing itself.
